It’s back-to-school time with great opportunities for you and your team to fine-tune skills and proficiency. We will continue to offer a livestream option with the classes held in Concord simultaneously broadcast on the internet for those students wanting to learn remote. These students will still have ample opportunity to interact with the class and ask questions to the presenter.
A Better Service Tech (taught by Bruce Sotelo)
- Being the best HVAC service tech you can be means taking pride in your work and striving for excellence every single day. If you think you can do that, then it is the most rewarding and gratifying job you can have. But being a “good” HVAC service tech is more than just showing up with a bag of tools and replacing some parts. You must be knowledgeable of all different types of HVAC equipment. You must understand how each part works within a system, the skills to diagnose when a part fails, and knowledge to find the cause. But it all starts with building a good foundation of knowledge — from reading schematics to troubleshooting electrical components used throughout the HVAC trade. In this class you will learn some key foundational skills you need in becoming an HVAC service tech that stands out above the rest.

Single Phase VRF (taught by Mark Lynn and Vinny Albano)
- Toshiba-Carrier’s single phase VRF is one of the most powerful pieces of equipment to positively change your business. In this introductory class, we will review the various options for outdoor heat pumps, fan coil units and controls. We’ll review how to sell the system and all the components that are needed for your bid. In this class, participants will also learn the basics of installation and start-up. However, keep in mind that both of those topics are available as separate multi-day classes, so this training will provide only enough information to allow you to confidently bid VRF on your next job.
