Spring training isn’t just for baseball fans, it’s for HVAC fans too! We have several classes coming up for you and your team to improve their skills and proficiency.
R454B Infinity Series Systems and Hybrid Heat (taught by Pat Burke and Bruce Sotelo)
- You can think of this as an basic Infinity training class, essential for all new dealers or new installers/technicians of long-time dealers. During the three hours, we’ll talk about the communicating system, what works with what, how it all comes together and how you can wow the homeowner with the technology. For your work in the Bay Area, we’ll also talk about the Infinity Series Ultra Low NOx furnace and how it can be used in a gas/electric application as well as a gas/HP hybrid heat application.

R454B Mini Splits and 37MU/45MU Systems (taught by Michael Sardina)
- This class is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge of the new R454B Mini Split product line and the crossover 37MU/45MU product line. Participants will gain in-depth understanding of various unit configurations and proper control wire installation. We’ll cover proper installation, a comparison between standard and high heating systems, procedures for checking and resetting the system in the event of a dissipation event, techniques for understanding system communication and basic troubleshooting for ductless systems, familiarization with different P/C boards and dip switches, including advanced dip switch settings, an overview of all system components and their operations and operation of the Carrier debugging tool and testing of various components.

Infinity Fault Codes and Troubleshooting (taught by Bruce Sotelo)
- This class is specifically designed for techs involved in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Carrier Infinity systems. Think of it as an advanced Infinity class as it will provide you in depth knowledge and practical skills needed to help you in understanding and diagnosing those complex fault codes more efficiently. This course will help you gain a better understanding of Infinity systems including their components, functions, and advanced features. Walk away feeling more confident in identifying and troubleshooting common and complex system issues. If you are new to Carrier Infinity equipment this may not be the course for you. This class is intended for the experienced technicians that want to expand their knowledge of Carriers most advanced residential equipment.
